Hi there, I'm Lucas
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually opened up a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Portugal wasn't in the long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Transition Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Founded Atlas Linen Harbor
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance rooted in everyday life in Portugal.
